Brea McDonald started her photography career in 1990 working under well-known National Geographic photographer Jose Azel. Here she developed a solid eye for composition and gained invaluable technical knowledge while viewing thousands of images from around the globe. Beginning in 1993 Brea focused her studies on photography while in the art department at the University of Southern Maine where she took advantage of experienced fine art photographer Rose Marasco. She graduated with a BA in art with a concentration in black and white photography.
To broaden her experience Brea was also involved in the Maine Photo Co-Op in Portland, Maine and had two one woman shows in 2001 and 2003. She is now the president of Photographers Association of Nantucket.
Brea came to Claudia Kronenberg Photography, Inc. in May of 2003 as the studio manager. Since her arrival Brea has been involved in portrait and wedding photography assisting Claudia in the many aspects of the studio including the shooting and editing of photographs. Brea has been under the direct guidance of Claudia Kronenberg while maintaining her own personal eye in her photography endeavors as associate photographer at Claudia Kronenberg Photography, Inc.
